Claudia Lynn

Language Program Coordinator; Lecturer in Foreign Languages

Claudia Baska Lynn is Language Program Coordinator and Lecturer of Foreign Languages. She received her M.A. in Germanic Languages and Literatures from the University of Pennsylvania in 1996. She is an Ed.D. candidate in Educational Linguistics at Penn's Graduate School of Education. Claudia is co-author with Sibel Sayılı-Hurley of a content-based textbook, Bewegungen, for intermediate German. Bewegungen is currently piloted at the University of Pennsylvania and won the Language Teaching Innovation Grant at the University of Pennsylvania in 2016. For the upcoming academic year 2018/19, Claudia and her colleague Sibel Sayılı-Hurley have been awarded The Sachs Program For Arts Innovation Grant for their project Language, Culture and Contemporary Art. Claudia has presented on various topics including Digital Humanities and Intercultural Learning at national and regional conferences such the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages Convention, ACTFL and the German Studies Association Conference, GSA.
