Associate Director
Associate Director
Jennifer Conway
In addition to her role as Associate Director of the Price Lab, Jennifer Conway is Associate Director of the Penn Humanities Forum, which she joined just after its inaugural festival, Celebration of Philadelphia Writers, in spring 1999. She unabashedly thinks she has one of the best jobs at Penn, what with all the famous scholars and artists she gets to meet on a regular basis.
Her first introduction to using a 'keyboard' was far from digital. It was a Smith-Corona portable. They have museums for those things now. She remembers lots of keys jamming – and keeping Wite Out in business. Today’s technology is a cakewalk next to that.
When she’s not at the office hoping she's working smarter and faster thanks to digital technology, she likes browsing in bookstores and libraries. In fact, the smell of old books in libraries transports her. She's also more right brain than left, and, like Dorothy Parker, hates to write but loves to have written.
