Lynda Kellam

Interim Head of Research Data and Digital Scholarship, Penn Libraries

Lynda Kellam is the Interim Head of Research Data & Digital Scholarship at the University of Pennsylvania Libraries. She previously was the Senior Data Librarian at the Cornell Center for Social Sciences and the Research Data Services Coordinator at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro’s University Libraries. She supervises the research data, GIS, and data science team in RDDS and provides support for Penn researchers in data management and qualitative data analysis software. She is the author of Numeric Data Services and Sources for the General Reference Librarian (2011), co-editor of Databrarianship: The Academic Data Librarian in Theory and Practice (ACRL, 2016), and several articles on data librarianship, data discovery, and data management. She has a PhD in American History from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a MA in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and a MLIS from UNCG. Her research interests in history focus on the American and British anti-imperialist movements and the intersections of those activities with the anti-lynching campaign in the United States.
