Justin Seward

Junior, Sociology and Religious Studies, University of Pennsylvania

Justin J. Seward is a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania, set to graduate in the Class of 2025. He is pursuing a double major in Sociology and Religious Studies, with a specific focus on the intersection of religion and the public sphere. The summer of 2022, he worked with Prof. Donovan Schaefer and Olivia Haynie C'24 to explore the forgotten historical Black perspectives on Confederate Monuments, and for summer 2023 he hopes to reanimate their voices for everyone to experience with the Price Lab. You'll often find Justin planting tomatoes at the Penn Park Farm or working on his next research paper at the SPARC office.
