R Learning Group at Penn Libraries

Join us to learn R !

R is an open-source scripting language used by a wide range of disciplines for data management, data analysis (including statistical analyses), and data visualization. An informal R learning group for members of the Penn community meets on Fridays from 10am until 11:30am in the WIC Seminar Room (Van Pelt 124.) No experience is required. Feel free to come every week, or to drop in as you are able. We welcome faculty, staff, postdocs, graduate students, undergraduate students, and anyone else who is part of the University community.

We especially welcome real-life data problems for group consultation.

Laptops are available in the WIC Seminar Room to use during group meeting times. If you bring your own computer, please install R and RStudio (https://www.rstudio.com/products/rstudio/download/) (an interface that allows working more easily with R).

Directions to the WIC Seminar Room, additional resources recommended by the group, and a weekly topic schedule are available on the group's website, https://pennusergroup.wordpress.com/. If you have any questions, please contact Jacob Levernier (jlevern@upenn.edu), CLIR Bollinger Postdoctoral Fellow in Library Innovation.
